If syntax be the structure of sentences then Syrette's obsession with the structure of rhythm starts to make a lot of sense. Obsession by no means equals complication however, as the lads serve up 3 original stripped back grooves with an emphasis on the drums. One could deploy the complete oxymoron of 'clean distortion' as a description for the approach to sound mangling, starting with the self-described 'dub industrial' of Gold Root before thundering through the bass monstrosity of Be Yourself and the klanky groove of Price Cut.

Remixes are provided by the master of the disjointed groove Oleka, and the heavyweight jammer Bermind.
